"Is Salvation in Jesus Christ the Only Way to Heaven?"
Somehow, on the matter of what matters the most - one eternal destiny - people say: "Well it just doesn't matter what you believe. All roads lead to heaven." No, they do not! There is only one Gospel, and that is the Gospel of the grace of God. How are we saved? Ephesians 2:8 says "For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift." You can not buy it, borrow it, steal it or earn it. Salvation comes only by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, who paid for our salvation by shedding His blood on the cross. My friend, when He finished His work on the cross, it was completed and you can not deplete it or add to it. It is the supernatural work of God. Salvation is not a need. You are not saved by the plan of salvation itself. You are saved by the author of salvation, who is Jesus Christ. Ordinary man can not save, but the God-Man can. We have so many religions in the world today because people have met creeds, not Christ. They have entered into codes of living, but not into the blood of Jesus Christ. They join churches without having Christ in their hearts. Salvation is not believing something, it is receiving someone, and that someone is Jesus Christ. Acts 4:10 - 12 says "Let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—whom you crucified and whom God raised from the dead. By Him this man is standing here before you healthy. This Jesus is the stone despised by you builders who has become the cornerstone. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved." Jesus is not just a good way to heaven, He is the only way! You see, if one particle of it depended upon me, then I would have to ask myself, "Am I good enought?" You see, when I'm saved by the grace of God, it all depends upon Him. I do not have to be a question mark with my head bent over. I can be an exclamation point, standing up straight and saying, "Praise God I'm Saved." So, how can I be saved and know it? 1. ACKNOWLEDGE that you are a sinner (Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:12 and 6:23). 2. ACCEPT what God has already done for you (John 3:10, Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:8-9 and Titus 3:5-7). 3. CONFESS Christ as your personal Savior (Romans 10:9-10) 4. CALL upon Him for salvation (Romans 10:13).
